The Jackbox party pack has become a craze at work. I'm going to be partied out by the end of March. We're playing Drawful right now!

Just a heads-up that everyone fully paid up before the 31st January deadline was up, so I wanted to thank all of you folks for being prompt and diligent and making the whole thing painless - it's much appreciated!

Now the countdown to UKAstock can truly begin...

There's still one spot to spare if anyone can find a latecomer to drag along!

I know we've not started the 'What are we going to do an eat' thread yet, but anyone else noticed that the Ghost in the Shell movie is released on the Friday ?
As we'll be gathering that day/evening, perhaps we should go as a group on the Saturday (if there's a nearby cinema with enough free seats).

I'd be up for that, is it expected to be a popular release? I've seen barely anything about it.

It looks like it'll be a pretty widescale release but would just be a bit of a trek out as we'd likley need to go to at least Chesterfield to find a big enough cinema - the local ones all seem to be 1-screeners.

If we do go my preference would be to go on the Friday to be honest then we can go out for food on the way back (depending on number of cars of course)

Sarcasm aside, it's bog standard Cineworld (no IMAX, no Atmos etc.) in Derbyshire's largest cesspool... Good for latro and his Unlimited card though. It's a 30min drive away, or 1 1/2 hours on public transport.

Next nearest would be the Odeon (not been there since I was a teen and it was a UCI, no idea what it's like now), Showcase de Lux or Quad in Derby. Despite being quite a bit further away it's only a slightly longer drive to Derby, and half an hour less by public transport. The Showcase De Lux is actually pretty nice and the Quad's that rarest of rare things: an independent. There's also a little one in Belper which is supposed to be really nice, but I believe they're often well behind the curve on current releases. Might even be worth the trip to Nottingham for the IMAX at Cineworld, that's where I'd normally be going for it.
