Finished The Way of The Runner.

That inspired me to pick up the autobiography/recipe book Eat and Run by Scott Jurek, an ultramarathon champion and vegan. In it he talks about 100+ mile foot races including The Badwater in Death Valley, one of the hardest races on earth.
After many years of it being on my list I decided to listen to Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall, having enjoyed the TV adaptation. It is exceptionally well written as you might expect for a Booker Prize winner. It's a big one though, 24 hours long in the unabridged edition.
The Idiot Brain by Dean Burnett. An accessible introduction to neuroscience with the warmth and humour present in Burnett's popular Guardian blogs.
