    Thread for Currently Watching Anime

    ----------

    Watched:
Green Days - Rather nice Korean coming of age story. While I do think there are better examples out there, Green Days was still a pleasure to watch and I would recommend it if you have an Amazon Prime membership

Your Name - Managed to re-watch this on Wednesday, this time Japanese Language with English Subtitles. I'm happy to say both tracks are very good and would recommend /Sub Preferred/ fans to give this a watch dubbed if they have a chance.

Also watching quite a few Seasonal Shows but I'm currently behind at the moment. Only up to date with Aho Girl and Netsuzou Trap

And made nice and sticky :D

    So, my watching list:
    • Charlotte Pt 2 - This is tonight's viewing as it needs to get written up for the site
    • Nadesico - Giving this a rewatch this week as well. As i have some time off :)
    Recently finished Eureka Seven, english dub. Always been a fan of the series, and since it arrived on netflix I have used it as background material for my book / vita gaming. Its better than I remember. Though, that football episode >_>;;

I'm sad the old thread wasn't copied across :(

Anyways, I've started watching Kill me Baby as some light entertainment. It's...ok.

Bloody hell. There is a name of a series I haven't heard of in a very long time. Very light entertainment.

On lighter note, Nadesico upscales well to 4K...

Last Anime film was A Silent Voice. I LOVED it. It's definitely surpassed Your Name for me.

Watched a bit of No Game No Life and Black Butler Book of Circus but anime isnt sticking for me as much so they haven't been completed.

Also been watching My Hero Academia waiting for the dubs to come out. Onto about episode 15 of Season 2.

I checked Anidb and apparently it's not due for release until December and is the first of 6.

    Cardcaptor Sakura 7-30

Planning to finish Season 1 by the end of this weekend. 5 episodes to go

Also finished New Game what was a really good show. Loved the last few episodes

I've still to watch the rest of the seasonal shows, only 2 or 3 left so all is good.

Just finished Sakura Quest. Going to miss it. These days I seem to prefer these gentle, nothing much happens slice of life that are targeted more towards adults.

I let this drift after episode 4 I think. Was the investment worth it in the end?

It was a Saturday night where I was bored and had some gin left, so I gave Neo Yokio a quick look. I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be taken seriously (at a guess: not), so I approached it as a sort-of "Sharknado of anime" where you're supposed to laugh at it rather than with it.

Yes, it's bad. Whether it's entertainingly bad or unwatchable, I'm still not sure. Jude Law as a robot assistant and what I'm pretty sure is Richard Aoyade as a shopkeeper are two highlights in the first episode alone...there are some well-known names in the voice cast - quite a lot of British ones too - but every last one of them sounds like they either don't know or don't care about what they're doing. I suspect that the scriptwriters are in on the joke, even if nobody else is. It reminds me a little of that 1996 movie of The Phantom, where the script is clearly a comedy, but the actors weren't made aware of it before filming.

I dunno. The joke could wear thin quickly, or it could turn into one of those "so bad it's good" cult classics. I haven't got to *that* Toblerone moment yet, but I can already see why Twitter went ballistic over it the other day.
